Judas Goat.
74The many aplications of a "Judas Goat".
Judas Goat is a term that has been established to describe the infiltration of group/herd by an "enemy" to lead the unknowing group to its death. It has its place in politics, WWII, slaughter houses, history and churches. The name Judas is derived from Judas Iscariot, one of the original 12 Apostles to Jesus. Judas was accountable for the money bag carried by the group. Ultimately Judas betrayed Jesus and led the Roman authorities to His location for 30 pieces of silver. Judas would then identify Jesus to the Roman soldiers by kissing Jesus on the cheek, "the kiss of Judas" or "the kiss of death".
Judas Goats
Proper Death?
There are two forms of betrayal in which the animal is used. The other terms are fit into society with appropriate applications.
Slaughterhouses are where you find the origin of the term "Judas Goat". A goat is trained to lead sheep to the slaughter. Its life is spared because of its service to the house. Two issues to note: 1. the goat has an agenda, 2. the sheep are unaware of their destiny.
Eradication is the second use for an actual animal to be used in betrayal against another animal. This time the goat betrays goats. In many areas, feral goats impose havoc on the natural environment. Australia is a prime example of a country with feral goat populations. A goat with a transmitting collar and some paint to identify it is released into the wild. Unknowingly, it leads hunters to the other feral goats for extermination. Again, the life of the "Judas Goat" is spared. Does he realize that he is the only survivor time and time again?
Politics a book that comes to my mind depicts "the enemy within" or the "Judas Goats" infiltrating the American Nationalist Movement. The book is called "The Judas Goats" by Michael Piper. It carefully depicts the infiltration of Zionists and other elites into the American movement designed to restore patriotism and the laws that America was founded on. It becomes interesting to discover who the enemy is, as they are never a prime suspect and usually have wealth power and status. All the things that we are trained to admire, but not question. Many times the "Judas Goat" does not enter a group aiming to destroy it. Instead they are bought or fall short through self exploitation. Eventually they aim to destroy the cause they once held fast to. The phrase "everybody has a price" is derived from the victims of a Judas Goat. Can identify a Judas Goat in your political theater?
WWII the United States and England in particular engaged in "Strategic Bombing Missions" mostly in the European theater with large numbers of heavy bombers. These bombers were led into formation by guess who? That's right, the aptly named "Judas Goat". These war weary planes were painted with bright polka dots or a checker patterns so that the flight crews could easily identify them. They would form in front of the building bomber squadrons and slowly lead them towards the bombing mission until the formation was complete. Once the flight formation was formed, the Judas Goat would turn for home- Mission Complete. The US primarily used two bombers, the B-24 and the B-17. During the war 12,731 B-17s had been built and 4,750 were lost in combat. Many poor bombing mission attempts earned names. "Black Thursday" of 291 attacking B-17s, 59 were shot down over Germany, one ditched into the English Channel, five crashed in England due to battle damage, and 12 more were scrapped because of heavy damage or crash-landings, a total loss of 77 B-17s. Many more needed repair before they could fly again. The B-24 had similar losses throughout the war. Many military officials did not like the term "Judas Goat" because the term suggested low moral, but with such losses the crews associated the plane as leading men to their slaughter.
Church groups can assume that they are safe from enemy infiltration right? Wrong, many churches are under attack with Judas like betrayal. The best example that I can think of is a touchy subject because the group that leads the betrayal actually uses innocent people as a beautiful face to hide its sinister deeds. I am not going to name the group until later, lets see if you can guess it. A major worldwide church developed a secret group to infiltrate many foreign governments and other forms of religion. Their goal, to gain public and religious strongholds from within the two- church and state are covered. They heavily targeted the United States Government, our colleges and the Protestant movement. The group was extremely secretive to the point of becoming leaders within the various Protestant movements and government positions. They hold many young prospects at Boston College. Any guesses? It is the Jesuit order also known as the "Society of Jesus". Before you get mad at me, lets have a look at what the Jesuits no longer hide. 1. They are a secret society. Sure, you can participate in one of the many volunteer groups fronted by the society, but do you think they are talking about bake offs behind closed doors at undisclosed times in undisclosed places? 2. They study the art of infiltration. 3. Places of interest as per the Jesuit definition include; education(schools, colleges, universities, seminaries, theological faculties), research in intellectual behavior, and cultural pursuits, missionary study(not missionary work), inter religious dialogue, and other 'frontier' ministry. When I see the words "frontier ministry" applied to the Jesuit studies, I think "Hi, we have breaking edge knowledge in the infiltration of your church." and guess what, they do. You may ask yourself, whats so bad about the things they study? Here is what, if I am not a Catholic(who funds the Jesuits) there is reason for that. I don't believe what a Catholic believes. Should my church establish a secret society to infiltrate other churches in a secretive fashion so that at some point we will hold authoritative positions where we can influence the believers to think like us? No, people can hardly tolerate two members of a church knocking at their door. Why should we tolerate an infiltration of our church. At least the door knockers are in your face and not stabbing you in the back.
